Fire Extinguisher Training Equipment for Australia and New Zealand

When faced with the sensory overload of a fire, the blazing flames, thick smoke, and heat can impair a person’s ability to think quickly and rationally. Practicing the correct response can help you remember the right things to do when the going is toughest. We specialise in Fire Extinguisher Training Equipment.

Theory alone will not teach an appropriate response.  Our LION Digital or Gas fire extinguisher training products combined with LION Smoke Generators or a Misty Blind Mask provide an excellent practical immersion training environment.

Through the use of innovative, patented technology, LION digital and gas fire extinguisher training systems provide clean, safe, and cost-effective fire extinguisher training. The systems sense where the trainee aims and sweeps the SmartExtinguisher or Digital Laser Extinguisher and varies the flames automatically, putting the fire out only when the extinguisher is used correctly.

>Realistic

Behaves like a natural fire would (crackling sounds, steam effects, smoke). Our digital and live-fire gas fire extinguisher training systems replicate a range of fire classes so students can concentrate on the fire types they will most likely face in the workplace.  The fire classes created by our fire extinguisher training systems include A, B, C, E & F.

>Clean

Eliminates the discharge of any dry-chemical or CO2 extinguishants. The I.T.S. utilizes clean-burning propane which eliminates the need to decant wet fuels and disposing of left-over wet fuel as required by the EPA.  Instructors and participants are not exposed to any harmful chemicals during training.

>Cost-effective

In many cases, organizations can save more than the cost of a training system in the first year alone. Quick recharge air/water training extinguishers plus reduced set-up and clean-up times mean you can train more people in less time.

>Safe

Exceeds Australian Standards with a 100% global safety record.  Has sensors that will automatically shut-off the flames if the system is bumped, knocked, or set-up improperly.  The flames go out instantly when the dead-man style safety switch is released.

Digital Fire Simulation

Digital fire simulation - the future

Digital fire technology, while relatively new in the market, has been used over the past decade in a variety of training structures around the world. Digital technology uses LEDs to recreate flames and their patterns. Thermal sensors detect the application of a fire hose line or a digital hose line. Sound and training smoke add realism to immerse firefighters in the training environment. Digital technology is well suited for training on initial fire attack, search and rescue, practicing stream patterns, water placement, and hose line management. Digital technology is intended to be a supplement to live-fire training. It is especially useful for training new firefighters. Globally, we find that digital technology is in high demand for departments without the budget for new constructions and for departments in areas with strict environmental restrictions.

Fire Services & Industry Users

The Australian Capital Territory Fire & Rescue, Metropolitan Fire Brigade, NSW Rural Fire Service, Queensland Fire & Emergency Services, and Northern Territory Fire & Rescue and many hundreds of healthcare and commercial businesses have acquired digital fire simulation products from BullEx Australia.

Training Disciplines

[su_spoiler title="Read More"] They have used digital fires to simulate training on the fundamentals, advancing hose lines, search and rescue, coordinated fire attack, water application, and nozzle technique among others. They have also used digital fire to add the element of fire to Rapid Intervention Team [RIT] and firefighter survival drills. Forcing firefighters to identify and confine the fire during the drills adds another level of realism and requires firefighters to not lose sight of the fact that these critical operations are happening within an active structure fire. Fire Course Planning

[su_spoiler title="Read More"] Employing new types of construction or new digital fire simulation technology, thinking ahead will help position your training structure for enduring success. By incorporating the latest technology and techniques, you’ll be enhancing the skills of your current and future firefighters, and preparing them to protect your community for years to come. [/su_spoiler] The potential risk of injury is so much lower with the digital systems. It has really changed the way fire training can be presented to the public and to firefighters.
